Possible Causes

Blocked air filter or outlet, Overheated internal components, Faulty high-temperature sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning or inspection.

  • Clean filters and vents: Remove and wash the air filters. Ensure the air outlet and inlet grilles are not blocked by curtains, furniture, or dust buildup.
  • Check installation: Confirm that the unit has adequate clearance around it for airflow as specified in the Soleus Air manual.
  • Inspect sensors: Locate the high-temperature sensor near the heater or condenser section (on heat pump models). Ensure it is properly mounted and wiring is intact.
  • Allow cool-down: Let the unit cool for 30 minutes, then restart. If H2 recurs quickly, a sensor or control issue may be present.
  • Replace sensor or board: If the high-temp sensor tests open/shorted, replace it. If sensor is good, the main PCB may be misreading and require replacement.
