• Clean removable parts: Wash the basket, crisper tray, and any racks with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
• Run empty cycles: With the unit empty, run 2–3 cycles at 400°F (200°C) for 10–15 minutes each, allowing the unit to cool between cycles. Open windows or use an exhaust fan.
• Monitor odor: The smell should diminish significantly after a few cycles. If it becomes stronger or smells like burning plastic, stop and inspect for damage.
