How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the latch mechanism.
- Clean latch area: Remove crumbs and grease from the latch and receiver using a small brush.
- Inspect latch hook: If the plastic hook on the basket is cracked or missing, replace the basket assembly.
- Check receiver and actuator: Inspect the latch receiver and the plastic tab that presses the microswitch. Adjust or replace if bent or broken.
- Test switch engagement: With the unit unplugged, insert the basket and listen for the microswitch click. If it does not click, adjust the actuator or replace the switch.
