Possible Causes

Undersized extension cord causing voltage drop, Shared circuit overloaded, Loose neutral or hot connection at power cord, Failing power supply on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting any wiring. Avoid using damaged outlets or cords.

  • Use a dedicated outlet: Plug the Gourmia air fryer directly into a dedicated wall outlet. Avoid sharing the circuit with high-draw appliances like microwaves or toasters.
  • Remove extension cords: Do not use extension cords or power strips. These can cause voltage drops that trigger E5.
  • Check outlet tightness: Gently wiggle the plug in the outlet. If it feels loose or sparks, stop using that outlet and have it inspected by an electrician.
  • Inspect power cord and plug: With the unit unplugged, check for heat damage, discoloration, or bent prongs. Replace the power cord assembly if any damage is found.
  • Internal wiring check: Remove the cover and verify that the line and neutral wires are firmly attached to the main control board and strain relief. Tighten any loose screws or connectors.
  • Control board diagnosis: If the supply voltage is stable and wiring is secure but E5 persists, the low-voltage detection circuit on the main control board may be faulty. Replace the main control board.
