• Light lubrication: If rails are clean but still rough, you can very lightly rub a dry silicone-safe lubricant on the metal rails (avoid food-contact surfaces).
• Replace damaged parts: If the basket or rails are visibly deformed, replace the basket/pan assembly or the outer housing if available.
