Possible Causes
Failed DHW NTC sensor, Loose or corroded sensor connector, Damaged sensor cable, Faulty control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing the DHW sensor area.
- Reset and test hot water: Reset the boiler and run a hot water tap. If E06 appears quickly or DHW temperature is erratic, suspect the DHW NTC.
- Check sensor mounting: On combi models, the DHW NTC is usually clipped to the DHW outlet pipe or inserted into a pocket on the plate heat exchanger. Ensure it is firmly attached and not hanging loose.
- Inspect wiring: Look for damaged insulation, pulled wires, or corrosion at the connector.
- Call a technician: Replacement of the DHW NTC and verification of correct readings should be done by a professional following Atlantic resistance charts.
