E119
Baxi Low System Pressure Lockout

Boiler displays E119, pressure gauge low, boiler will not fire

Possible Causes

Water leak in heating circuit, Recently bled radiators without repressurising, Faulty pressure sensor on Baxi boiler, Expansion vessel losing charge causing pressure swings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Let the system cool before topping up.

Step-by-step repressurising:

  • Locate the pressure gauge and confirm it is below 1.0 bar.
  • Find the filling loop (flexible hose with two valves). Open the valves slowly until the gauge reaches 1.2–1.5 bar.
  • Close both valves fully and remove the filling loop if it is detachable.
  • Reset the boiler and check for normal operation.
  • Inspect for visible leaks around radiators, valves, and under the boiler.

If E119 recurs frequently:

  • Contact a heating engineer to check the expansion vessel, pressure sensor, and for hidden leaks.
