Possible Causes

Open circuit or shorted flue NTC sensor, Damaged wiring harness to flue sensor, Faulty main PCB analogue input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Isolate electrical power before accessing internal components.

  • Power cycle: Turn the boiler off at the mains for 30 seconds, then back on to see if the fault clears temporarily.
  • Technician – inspect flue NTC: Locate the flue gas temperature sensor on the Beretta boiler. Check for secure connection and visible damage.
  • Measure resistance: With the boiler cold, measure the NTC resistance and compare to Beretta's temperature-resistance chart. Replace if out of range.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the cable from the flue NTC to the PCB for cuts, burns, or loose plugs. Repair or replace as needed.
  • PCB diagnosis: If sensor and wiring are correct, the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
