Possible Causes
Seized or failed pump motor, Air lock in pump, Pump wiring fault, PCB not supplying power to pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before touching the pump. Water may be hot.
- Listen for pump: On a heating demand, listen for pump operation. A humming noise without flow suggests a stuck rotor.
- Free pump rotor: With power off, remove the pump vent screw and gently turn the shaft with a screwdriver. Refit screw and test.
- Bleed pump: Allow air to escape from the pump via the vent screw until water appears.
- Technician – electrical tests: Check for correct voltage at the pump terminals when there is a call for heat. If present and pump does not run, replace the Beretta pump. If absent, suspect the PCB.
