How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: If you smell burning, switch off the boiler immediately at the isolator and do not use it until inspected.
- Visual inspection: After cooling, remove the front cover and look for discoloured wiring, melted insulation, or soot marks.
- Check fan and pump: Smell near the fan and pump motors to identify the source. Stiff or noisy motors should be replaced.
- Secure connections: Tighten any loose terminal screws on the Herz PCB and terminal blocks (power off).
- Replace damaged parts: Any burnt wiring or components must be replaced by a qualified technician before the boiler is used again.
