Boiler condensate pipe dripping heavily or gurgling noises from condensate trap

Safety: Condensate is mildly acidic; wear gloves and eye protection when handling.

• Check external pipe: Inspect the external condensate pipe for freezing or kinks. Thaw gently with warm (not boiling) water if frozen.
• Trap cleaning (technician preferred):
  • Isolate power.
  • Remove the condensate trap from the boiler following Junkers instructions.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove debris and reinstall, ensuring correct seals.
• Verify fall: Ensure the condensate pipe has continuous fall to the drain to prevent standing water and gurgling.
