Dirty water left in tank, Damp machine stored without drying, Buildup of residue in hoses and nozzle, Contaminated filters
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit. Work in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves.
- 1. Deep clean tanks: Empty and wash both clean and dirty water tanks with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely.
- 2. Flush hoses and nozzle: Remove the hose and nozzle and flush with a mild disinfectant solution approved for plastics. Rinse and dry.
- 3. Clean or replace filters: Wash washable filters and replace any that smell musty or appear moldy.
- 4. Dry the machine: After cleaning, run the suction (no water) for a few minutes to help dry internal passages, then store the unit with tanks removed and openings exposed to air.
