Possible Causes
Damaged recovery tank lid gasket, Cracked dirty water tank, Tank not fully latched, Blocked tank air vent causing overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and avoid contact with dirty water; wear gloves.
- 1. Remove and clean tank: Take out the dirty water tank and rinse it thoroughly. Check for cracks along the bottom and sides.
- 2. Inspect lid gasket: Examine the rubber gasket around the tank lid. If it is twisted, torn, or hardened, replace the gasket or the entire lid assembly.
- 3. Check tank vent: Locate the small vent hole or channel in the lid. Clean it to ensure air can escape; a blocked vent can cause water to force out around seals.
- 4. Reseat tank: Reinstall the tank, ensuring it is pushed fully into place and latched. An unseated tank often leaks at the front edge.
