Carpet cleaner powers on but the suction motor does not start; display shows E02 and you may hear a relay click but no vacuum sound.

Safety first: Unplug the cleaner and allow it to cool for at least 20 minutes if it was recently used.

• 1. Check for blockages: Remove the dirty water tank, hose, and floor nozzle. Inspect the suction inlet, hose, and nozzle for clogs (hair, carpet fibers, debris). Clear any obstruction and rinse removable parts with warm water. Let them dry fully before refitting.
• 2. Inspect filters: Locate the motor protection filter (often behind the dirty water tank or near the exhaust). If heavily clogged, wash according to the manual or replace. A blocked filter can trigger motor overload and E02.
• 3. Reset thermal cut-out: Some Beko carpet cleaners have a thermal protector on the suction motor. After clearing blockages and cleaning filters, leave the unit unplugged for 30–60 minutes to allow the thermal cut-out to reset.
• 4. Check wiring and motor: With the housing removed, inspect the motor wiring harness and connectors for burns or loose plugs. Using a multimeter, check continuity of the motor windings. An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
• 5. PCB inspection: If the motor tests good but E02 persists, the motor control triac or relay on the main PCB may be faulty. Replace the main PCB or motor control board as a complete unit.
