Possible Causes

Brush roll jammed with hair or debris, Worn or broken brush drive belt, Failed brush motor, Faulty brush motor overload sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and lay it on its side so you can access the brush area. Wear gloves to avoid cuts from sharp debris.

  • 1. Remove debris: Take off the brush access cover on the floor head. Carefully cut away hair, threads, and fibers wrapped around the brush roll and end caps. Ensure the brush spins freely by hand.
  • 2. Inspect drive belt: If your Beko model uses a belt, check for snapping, stretching, or glazing. Replace the belt if it is loose or broken. Always use a genuine Beko brush drive belt for correct tension.
  • 3. Check brush bearings: Remove the brush roll and inspect the end bearings or bushings. If they are seized, noisy, or melted, replace the brush roll assembly.
  • 4. Test brush motor: Access the brush motor in the floor head. Check wiring connections. Use a multimeter to test continuity of the motor. If open or if the motor smells burnt, replace the brush motor.
  • 5. Reset overload: Some models have a manual reset button on the brush motor housing. After clearing jams and replacing parts, press the reset (if present), reassemble, and test.
