Possible Causes

Defective tilt sensor in main body, Loose tilt sensor connector, Damaged wiring in handle pivot area, Misaligned sensor bracket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the carpet cleaner and place it on a stable surface.

  • 1. Check for mechanical obstruction: Ensure the handle recline mechanism is not obstructed by debris or damaged plastic that could strain the wiring.
  • 2. Inspect pivot wiring: Remove the rear cover to access the handle pivot area. Look for pinched or broken wires that move when the handle is reclined. Repair any damaged wires with proper connectors and insulation.
  • 3. Locate tilt sensor: Find the tilt or position sensor (often a small board or switch near the pivot). Ensure it is firmly mounted and not loose. Tighten screws if necessary.
  • 4. Connector check: Reseat the tilt sensor connector on both the sensor and PCB ends. Oxidized contacts can cause intermittent E08 errors.
  • 5. Replace sensor: If wiring is intact but E08 persists whenever the handle is moved, replace the tilt sensor assembly with a genuine Beko part.
