Possible Causes
Damaged control panel membrane, Loose display board connector, Liquid ingress into control panel, Faulty UI PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit. Do not spray cleaners directly onto the control panel.
- 1. Dry the panel: If the panel was recently exposed to cleaning fluids, allow it to dry completely. Wipe gently with a dry cloth.
- 2. Reseat connectors: Remove the control panel cover and reseat the ribbon cable or connector between the UI board and main PCB.
- 3. Inspect for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on the keypad contacts or board. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- 4. Test buttons: Using a multimeter, test continuity across each button when pressed (if accessible). If multiple keys fail, replace the entire control panel or UI PCB.
