Carpet cleaner leaves streaks or uneven cleaning lines on the carpet

Safety first: Unplug before inspecting the floorhead.

• Inspect brush bar: Remove the cleaner head and check the bristles. If they are worn flat in the centre or on one side, replace the brush bar assembly.
• Clean spray pattern: Run the machine briefly over a hard floor or cardboard to observe the spray pattern. If jets are uneven, remove and clean them as per the manual.
• Check base plate and squeegee: Look for warping or damage to the base plate and rubber lips. Clean off any dried detergent or debris.
• Use correct technique: Make slow, overlapping passes and avoid moving too quickly, which can cause streaking.
