Possible Causes
Heavily clogged pre-motor filter, Blocked HEPA/post-motor filter, Incorrect non-genuine filter installed, Filter not seated correctly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before removing filters.
- Remove and inspect filters: Take out the pre‑motor and post‑motor filters. If they appear grey, dusty, or damp, they need cleaning or replacement.
- Wash washable filters: Rinse under cold running water until clear. Do not use detergents. Squeeze out excess water and allow to air dry for at least 24 hours.
- Replace non‑washable filters: If your model uses a sealed HEPA filter, replace it with a genuine Dyson part when airflow is reduced or as per maintenance schedule.
- Refit correctly: Ensure filters are fully dry and seated in the correct orientation. Misfitted filters can trigger E11.
- Reset: Some models may require a filter reset via the user interface; follow the manual if applicable.
