Possible Causes
Faulty tilt sensor, Loose tilt sensor wiring, Damaged handle pivot switch, Control PCB misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before inspecting moving joints.
- Check mechanical movement: Recline and upright the handle several times with the machine unplugged. Listen for any clicking or binding that might indicate a damaged pivot mechanism.
- Inspect external wiring: Look around the handle pivot and lower body for pinched or exposed wires. Do not operate the machine if wiring insulation is damaged.
- Reset position: Place the machine fully upright, plug in, and power on. Then gently recline. If the machine cuts out immediately, the tilt sensor or pivot switch is likely faulty.
- Service recommendation: Tilt sensors and pivot switches are internal components. Replacement requires opening the chassis and should be done by a qualified technician.
