High-pitched whistling noise and reduced suction

Safety first: Unplug before inspecting for leaks.

• Check hose and wand: Flex the hose while listening for changes in the whistle. Look for splits or holes. Inspect the wand for cracks.
• Inspect seals: Examine rubber gaskets around the tank, cyclone, and access doors. Replace any that are flattened or torn.
• Reseat components: Remove and refit the dirty water tank, cyclone, and any access doors until they click firmly.
• Replace damaged parts: If the hose or wand is cracked, replace with genuine Dyson components to restore proper sealing.
