Display shows E13, buttons unresponsive or random functions activate

Safety: Unplug before removing the control panel. Avoid static discharge to electronics.

• Inspect control panel:
  • Remove the screws securing the top control panel on the Henry carpet cleaner.
  • Lift carefully and check for moisture or detergent residue.
• Dry and clean:
  • If damp, dry thoroughly and clean with a soft cloth.
  • Do not soak the membrane keypad.
• Check ribbon cable:
  • Ensure the flat ribbon cable from the keypad/display to the PCB is fully seated.
  • Reseat both ends to improve contact.
• Test operation:
  • Reassemble and test; if buttons remain erratic, replace the control panel / keypad assembly.
