How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine and avoid running the pump dry for long periods.
- Check solution tank level:
- Remove the clean solution tank from the Henry carpet cleaner.
- Fill with warm water and appropriate carpet detergent to the marked level.
- Inspect solution intake filter:
- Locate the small mesh filter at the bottom or outlet of the solution tank.
- Rinse under warm water to remove detergent residue and debris.
- Bleed air from solution line:
- Refit the tank securely, ensuring the outlet valve engages properly with the base.
- With the machine on (if safe), hold the wand low and press the solution trigger continuously for 30–60 seconds to purge air.
- Check for kinks or pinched hoses:
- Trace the clear solution hose from tank to pump and from pump to wand.
- Straighten any kinks and ensure quick-connect fittings are fully seated.
- If pump still silent and E4 remains:
- With power off, access the pump compartment.
