Possible Causes

Blocked spray jets in floor tool, Clogged in-line solution filter, Cracked or loose solution hose, Worn pump impeller

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug before disassembling tools or hoses. Avoid directing pressurised spray at people.

  • Clean spray jets:
    • Remove the floor extraction tool from the wand.
    • Locate the brass or plastic spray nozzles.
    • Use a soft brush or a fine needle to clear mineral deposits or debris from the jets.
    • Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
  • Check in-line solution filter:
    • Some Henry carpet cleaners have a small in-line filter in the solution hose near the pump.
    • Unscrew the filter housing, remove the mesh insert, and rinse clean.
  • Inspect solution hoses:
    • Look for damp spots, cracks, or loose push-fit connectors along the clear solution hose.
    • Replace any damaged solution hose sections and refit clips.
  • Test pump output directly:
    • Disconnect the solution hose at the wand and place the end in a bucket.
    • Run the pump briefly; if flow is weak, the solution pump assembly may be worn and require replacement.
