Henry Excessive Suction / Poor Glide

Floor tool difficult to push, sticking to carpet

Possible Causes

Worn or missing glide strips, Squeegee set too low, Very high suction on thick carpet, Blocked air relief vent on tool

Safety: Unplug before adjusting the tool.

Inspect glide strips:
- Check the plastic or felt glide strips on the underside of the floor tool.
- Replace worn glide strips.
Adjust squeegee height:
- If adjustable, raise the squeegee slightly to reduce drag.
Open air relief (if fitted):
- Some tools have a small vent; open it slightly to reduce suction on very thick carpets.
