Worn or missing glide strips, Squeegee set too low, Very high suction on thick carpet, Blocked air relief vent on tool
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before adjusting the tool.
- Inspect glide strips:
- Check the plastic or felt glide strips on the underside of the floor tool.
- Replace worn glide strips.
- Adjust squeegee height:
- If adjustable, raise the squeegee slightly to reduce drag.
- Open air relief (if fitted):
- Some tools have a small vent; open it slightly to reduce suction on very thick carpets.
