Possible Causes
Broken or stretched brush drive belt, Jammed brush roll with hair and debris, Failed brush motor, Faulty brush on/off switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cleaner and lay it on its side before accessing the brush.
- Remove debris: Take off the bottom cover and clear hair, threads, and debris from the brush roll and end caps.
- Inspect belt: If your Rowenta model uses a belt, check for breakage or slack. Replace with the correct Rowenta belt if worn or broken.
- Spin brush by hand: The brush should rotate freely. If stiff, replace the brush roll assembly.
- Check brush switch: Verify that any brush on/off switch is set to ON and functioning. Replace if it does not make contact.
