Possible Causes
Stuck or damaged keypad buttons, Moisture ingress into control panel, Loose ribbon cable between UI board and main PCB, Failed user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the control panel.
- Dry the control panel: If the panel was exposed to water or cleaning solution, allow it to dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry environment. Do not use direct heat.
- Inspect buttons: Check for physically stuck buttons. Gently work each button to ensure it returns freely. Clean around the buttons with a slightly damp cloth; avoid soaking.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the top cover to access the user interface PCB. Ensure the flat ribbon cable is fully inserted and locked in its connector on both the UI and main PCB.
- Visual inspection: Look for corrosion, burnt components, or cracked solder joints on the UI board. If present, replace the user interface PCB.
- Reassemble and test: After reseating cables and drying, reconnect power and test button response. If E10 remains, a new UI board is typically required.
