Possible Causes
NTC ambient sensor reading below safe threshold, Condensation on control PCB, Sensor out of calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep the unit unplugged while it acclimates to room temperature.
- Warm up the appliance: Move the carpet cleaner to a heated indoor area (15–25°C / 59–77°F) and leave it unplugged for at least 2–3 hours to allow internal components to warm and dry.
- Check for condensation: After acclimation, remove the housing and inspect the control PCB and sensors for visible moisture. Allow additional drying time if needed.
- Inspect ambient sensor: Locate the ambient NTC sensor (often near air vents). Ensure it is not in direct contact with cold metal surfaces that could skew readings.
- Test sensor resistance: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare with expected values if available. Replace the sensor if it is open, shorted, or far out of range.
