Possible Causes
Clogged suction channel, Full or incorrectly seated dirty water tank, Damaged tank gasket or lid seal, Faulty airflow pressure sensor on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains before removing tanks or covers.
- Empty and reseat the dirty water tank: Ensure the tank is not full and that it is pushed fully into place. Check that the lid is latched and the gasket is intact.
- Inspect seals and gaskets: Examine the recovery tank gasket, nozzle-to-body seal, and hose connections for cracks or deformation. Replace any damaged seals.
- Clear suction path: Remove the floor nozzle and hose. Look through the suction channel for obstructions such as carpet fibers or small objects. Use a flexible brush or compressed air to clear blockages.
- Check airflow sensor tubing: Some models use a small silicone tube from the suction channel to a pressure sensor on the PCB. Ensure this tube is not kinked, split, or disconnected.
- Test without accessories: Run the unit briefly with only the base connected. If suction is strong and E8 disappears, the issue may be with an accessory tool or hose.
