Possible Causes
Faulty trigger switch in handle, Broken trigger wiring in handle harness, Loose handle-to-body connector, Faulty communication circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cleaner before opening the handle or body.
- Inspect the trigger mechanism: Remove the screws from the handle housing to access the trigger switch. Check that the trigger physically presses the micro-switch.
- Test the trigger switch: Use a multimeter to verify continuity when the trigger is pulled. Replace the switch if it does not close reliably.
- Check the handle harness: Look for pinched, broken, or frayed wires inside the handle and at the pivot point where the handle meets the body. Repair or replace the harness if conductors are damaged.
- Verify connectors: Ensure the multi-pin connector between the handle and main body is fully seated and free of corrosion.
- Control PCB check: If the trigger and wiring test good but E9 persists, the input circuit on the main control PCB may be defective and the PCB will need replacement.
