Possible Causes
Faulty handle trigger microswitch, Broken trigger linkage, Damaged trigger wiring harness, Fault on main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before inspecting the handle or trigger area.
- Check mechanical trigger movement: Squeeze the trigger and observe whether it returns smoothly. If it feels loose, jammed, or does not spring back, the plastic linkage may be broken or out of place.
- Inspect for visible damage: Look around the handle for cracks or signs of impact. If the trigger housing is cracked, it may not actuate the internal switch.
- Wiring check (advanced): If you are competent with tools, remove the handle cover screws to access the trigger switch. Inspect the microswitch and wiring harness for loose connectors or broken wires. Reseat any loose plugs.
- Test with continuity meter: With the unit unplugged, use a multimeter to check continuity across the trigger switch when pressed. Replace the switch if it does not close properly.
- Control PCB fault: If the trigger switch and wiring are good but the machine still shows E7, the main control PCB may not be recognising the trigger signal. PCB replacement should be carried out by a qualified technician.
