Possible Causes

Faulty tilt sensor, Machine being used at excessive angle, Loose internal sensor connection, Damaged main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the machine before moving or tilting it.

  • Correct operating position: Ensure the VAX Platinum is on a flat, level surface. Do not operate it on stairs or at a steep angle. Stand the machine fully upright before powering on.
  • Reset the sensor: With the unit unplugged, place it upright for 5 minutes. Then plug in and try again. Some tilt sensors reset when the machine is stationary and level.
  • Check for physical damage: If the machine has been dropped or tipped heavily, internal sensors or mounts may be damaged. Inspect the casing for cracks or misalignment.
  • Internal inspection (advanced): If you are experienced, remove the outer cover to locate the tilt sensor (often a small module on the main PCB or a separate board). Check for loose connectors or broken solder joints.
  • Persistent E8: If the error remains and the machine is level, the tilt sensor or PCB likely needs replacement. This is typically a workshop repair.
