Possible Causes
Loose internal power connection, Failing power switch, Overheating motor triggering thermal cut-out, Damaged power cord at strain relief
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before inspection. Do not wiggle cords while plugged in.
- Check cord strain relief: Gently flex the cord near the plug and where it enters the machine (while unplugged). If the outer sheath is cracked, the cord may be failing.
- Overheat check: If shutdown occurs after extended use and the body feels hot, the thermal cut-out may be tripping due to blocked filters or vents. Clean all filters and vents thoroughly.
- Switch behaviour: If slight movement of the power switch causes power loss, the switch contacts may be worn and need replacement.
- Professional diagnosis: Intermittent electrical faults can be difficult to trace and may require a technician to inspect internal wiring and connections.
