Possible Causes
Failed Vorwerk brush motor, Broken brush drive belt (if belt-driven), Jammed brush roller, Faulty brush motor connector or wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before working on the brush system.
- Remove the brush module: Lay the cleaner on its side, release the brush cover, and remove the brush roller. Clean off hair, threads, and debris from the roller and end bearings.
- Check the belt (if applicable): Inspect the drive belt for cracks, glazing, or breakage. Replace the belt if worn or broken.
- Inspect the brush motor: Check the brush motor shaft for free rotation. If it is stiff or locked, the motor is likely defective and must be replaced.
- Check wiring: Ensure the brush motor connector is fully seated in the wiring harness and that no wires are pinched or broken.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the brush roller and cover, plug in the unit, and test. If E03 persists, the brush motor or control board brush driver circuit may require replacement.
