Possible Causes
Blocked air filters reducing cooling airflow, Clogged suction path causing motor strain, Failed cooling fan on motor, Operating the unit for too long without breaks
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off and unplug the cleaner. Allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Clean filters: Remove and clean the pre-motor filter and any exhaust filter according to the Vorwerk manual (usually by tapping out dust or rinsing and fully drying). Never operate without filters.
- Check for blockages: Inspect the suction nozzle, hose, and recovery tank inlet for clogs. Remove any debris.
- Ventilation: Ensure the air vents on the housing are not blocked by rugs or furniture during use.
- Duty cycle: Use the cleaner in shorter sessions with cooling breaks if cleaning large areas.
- Persistent E05: If the error returns quickly even with clean filters and clear airflow, the motor’s thermal sensor or cooling fan may be faulty and the motor assembly should be replaced.
