Possible Causes

Clogged suction hose, Blocked recovery tank inlet, Full or incorrectly seated recovery tank, Faulty airflow sensor on Vorwerk control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before inspecting internal passages.

  • Empty and reseat tanks: Remove, empty, and thoroughly clean the recovery tank. Ensure the float valve moves freely and the lid seals correctly. Reinstall both clean and dirty water tanks firmly.
  • Check hose and nozzle: Detach the hose and nozzle. Use a flexible brush or straightened coat hanger (with smooth end) to gently push out clogs.
  • Inspect float shutoff: If the float in the recovery tank is stuck in the up position, the unit will sense a full tank. Clean and free the float mechanism.
  • Test without hose: Run the unit briefly with the hose removed (if allowed by the design). If suction is strong at the inlet, the blockage is in the hose or nozzle.
  • Sensor issue: If airflow is normal but E06 persists, the airflow sensor or its wiring on the control board may be defective and require replacement.
