Possible Causes
Blocked recovery path in dirty water tank lid, Clogged pre-motor filter, Air leak at tank gasket, Worn suction motor reducing airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Zanussi carpet cleaner before cleaning filters or seals.
- Empty and clean dirty water tank: Remove the recovery tank and rinse thoroughly. Pay special attention to the lid channels and air passages.
- Check tank gasket: Inspect the main tank-to-body gasket for splits or deformation. Replace if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Clean filters: Remove and wash foam filters; replace any HEPA or paper filters that appear clogged or damaged.
- Inspect suction path: Check the nozzle, hose, and inlet for obstructions. Clear any lint or hair.
- Test suction: With tanks fitted, place your hand over the nozzle and feel for strong suction. If weak despite a clear path, the suction motor may be worn and require replacement.
