Possible Causes

Cracked internal hose, Loose hose clamp, Leaking solution pump seal, Full internal drip tray activating float switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the cleaner and remove all water from tanks. Work on a dry surface.

  • Inspect underside: Tilt the Zanussi unit and check for visible water trails or drips. Note the area where water appears.
  • Open the body: Remove screws and carefully separate the body shells. Look for an internal drip tray and float switch; empty and dry the tray.
  • Trace hoses: Follow all solution and recovery hoses from tanks to pump and floor head. Tighten any loose clamps and replace cracked or swollen hoses.
  • Check pump and fittings: Inspect the solution pump and any quick-connect fittings for leaks during a brief powered test (qualified person only). Replace leaking pump seals or fittings.
  • Dry and reassemble: Thoroughly dry all internal components before reassembly. Once reassembled, refill tanks and test for leaks and confirm E13 is cleared.
