Unit will not stand upright or latch into storage position

Safety: Unplug the cleaner before working on the handle.

• Inspect latch area: Examine the Zanussi handle base where it locks into upright. Look for broken plastic parts or obstructions.
• Clean mechanism: Remove any debris or fibres caught in the latch.
• Replace latch parts: If the lock lever or teeth are worn or broken, replace the upright lock assembly or handle base as a unit.
• Check alignment: Ensure the handle pivot screws are tight and the handle is not twisted.
