Possible Causes

Jammed brew group due to coffee residue, Faulty brew group drive motor, Broken gear or drive linkage, Faulty position sensor or microswitch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine before removing the brew group.

Clean and reset brew group:

  • Open the service door and remove the brew group according to the user manual.
  • Rinse the brew group thoroughly under warm water, moving the internal piston and levers to remove coffee residues.
  • Allow it to dry completely, then lightly lubricate moving parts with food-safe silicone grease recommended for coffee machines.
  • Reinstall the brew group, ensuring it locks fully into place.

Check internal drive:

  • If E07 persists, remove the side or rear cover to access the brew group drive motor and gear train.
  • Inspect gears for broken teeth and ensure the drive screw or lever moves freely.
  • Check the position microswitches or Hall sensors that detect brew group position; verify connectors are secure.

Replace the brew group drive motor, gear set, or position sensor if defective. If mechanical alignment is lost, a service technician may need to recalibrate the mechanism.
