Possible Causes

Blocked bean chute, Faulty bean level sensor, Broken hopper lid magnet, Dirty optical sensor in hopper

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the machine before working near the grinder.

Hopper and chute:

  • Remove all beans from the hopper.
  • Clean the hopper and bean chute thoroughly to remove oils and dust.
  • Check for any foreign objects blocking the chute.

Sensor checks:

  • If your model uses a magnetic lid sensor, ensure the magnet is present in the lid and the reed switch inside the machine is clean and undamaged.
  • If an optical sensor is used, gently clean the sensor window with a dry cloth.

Reassemble and test. If the sensor still fails to detect beans or lid status, the sensor or hopper assembly may need replacement.
