Coffee maker brews extremely slowly; a full pot takes much longer than normal.

Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before descaling. Unplug before filling or moving.

• Descale the machine: Fill the reservoir with a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water. Start a brew cycle and let it run until halfway, then pause for 20–30 minutes to dissolve scale. Resume and complete the cycle.
• Repeat if needed: For heavy buildup, run a second descale cycle.
• Flush thoroughly: Run 2–3 full reservoirs of fresh water through the machine to remove vinegar taste.
• Clean spray head: If accessible, remove the showerhead or spray plate and soak it in vinegar, then scrub gently with a soft brush to clear blocked holes.
• If slow brewing persists: Internal tubing or the heating block may be heavily scaled and require disassembly and manual cleaning or replacement.
