Possible Causes
Lime scale in heating block, Partially clogged internal tubing, Scale around flow meter, Mineral deposits in spray head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before descaling. Unplug before filling or moving.
- Descale the machine: Fill the reservoir with a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water. Start a brew cycle and let it run until halfway, then pause for 20–30 minutes to dissolve scale. Resume and complete the cycle.
- Repeat if needed: For heavy buildup, run a second descale cycle.
- Flush thoroughly: Run 2–3 full reservoirs of fresh water through the machine to remove vinegar taste.
- Clean spray head: If accessible, remove the showerhead or spray plate and soak it in vinegar, then scrub gently with a soft brush to clear blocked holes.
- If slow brewing persists: Internal tubing or the heating block may be heavily scaled and require disassembly and manual cleaning or replacement.
