Possible Causes

Clogged flow meter from scale, Stuck flow meter impeller, Air lock in inlet line, Failed flow meter sensor or wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool before descaling or moving it.

  • Check water reservoir: Ensure the reservoir is filled above the minimum line and properly seated.
  • Run a descale cycle: Fill the reservoir with a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water. Start a brew cycle without coffee grounds. If the unit starts, stop halfway, let it sit 20 minutes, then complete the cycle to dissolve scale around the flow meter and internal tubing. Follow with 2–3 full reservoirs of fresh water to rinse.
  • Clear air lock: After descaling, remove and reseat the reservoir several times to help purge air. Start a brew cycle and listen for the pump. If you hear the pump but no water flows, gently tap the side of the machine to help dislodge bubbles.
  • Inspect for leaks: Look under and behind the unit for water leaks that might indicate a cracked internal hose or flow meter body.
  • If E03 persists: The flow meter assembly or its wiring harness may be defective and must be replaced from inside the unit. This involves disassembly and working near live components; seek professional service.
