Possible Causes
Whole beans jammed in grinder chute, Foreign object in burrs, Seized grinder motor, Grinder motor overload protection tripped
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before accessing the bean hopper or grinder area. Never put fingers or tools into the grinder while plugged in.
- Empty bean hopper: Remove the hopper lid and pour out all beans. Gently shake the machine to dislodge beans from the chute.
- Inspect for jams: If your model allows, remove the upper burr or grinder cover. Use a small brush to clear compacted grounds and beans from the burrs and chute. Do not use metal tools that can damage the burrs.
- Check for foreign objects: Look for stones, metal fragments, or other debris that may have entered with the beans and remove them.
- Reset overload: Leave the unit unplugged for 15–20 minutes to allow any internal thermal overload on the grinder motor to reset.
- Test with small amount of beans: Reassemble the grinder, add a small quantity of beans, plug in, and start a grind cycle. Listen for smooth operation.
- If E07 returns or motor hums but does not turn: The grinder motor or its drive coupling may be damaged and will require replacement from inside the unit.
