Possible Causes
Air locked in inlet line, Scale buildup in pump head, Failed vibration pump, Loose pump inlet or outlet hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before moving or tilting it. Allow it to cool if recently used.
- Check water level: Ensure the reservoir is full and properly seated.
- Prime the pump: With the unit unplugged and reservoir full, gently tap the side of the machine near the pump area (usually the lower rear) to help release trapped air. Then plug in and start a brew cycle.
- Run a water-only cycle: Remove any coffee grounds and run a full cycle with just water. If water begins to flow, continue to help flush air and minor scale.
- Descale the system: If flow is intermittent, run a descale cycle with a 1:1 vinegar and water solution, followed by several fresh water cycles.
- Inspect for leaks and kinks: Look around and under the unit for water leaks that might indicate a loose pump hose. If you see water inside the base, discontinue use.
- If E08 persists and pump is silent: The vibration pump may have failed electrically and needs replacement by a technician.
