Possible Causes

Faulty water tank magnet or float, Dirty or failed reed switch in chassis, Misaligned tank, Damaged tank level sensor wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before inspecting sensors.

Steps:

  • 1. Inspect water tank: Remove the tank and look for a floating magnet or plastic float. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by scale.
  • 2. Clean tank and socket: Rinse the tank thoroughly. Wipe the tank seating area and sensor window on the machine with a damp cloth.
  • 3. Test with gentle tapping: Reinsert the tank firmly. Gently tap the side of the tank to free a stuck float.

Advanced:

  • 4. Check reed switch: Open the housing and locate the reed switch or level sensor near the tank area. Test continuity while moving a magnet near it. Replace if it does not change state.

Resolution: Replace the water tank if the internal float or magnet is damaged. Replace the reed switch or level sensor if it fails testing.
