Possible Causes

Water leak onto base pan, Activated leak float switch, Cracked boiler or hose, Faulty leak sensor stuck in triggered position

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine immediately. Water inside the chassis can cause electric shock or further damage.

Steps:

  • 1. Remove external water: Take out the drip tray and empty it. Wipe any visible water around the base.
  • 2. Inspect base pan (advanced): Remove the side or bottom cover to access the internal base. Look for standing water and a float or leak sensor.
  • 3. Dry the interior: Carefully dry the base with towels and allow the machine to air dry for several hours.
  • 4. Identify leak source: Refill the tank and, with covers removed (still unplugged), visually inspect hoses, boiler, and connections for cracks or mineral trails. Then briefly power on and observe for leaks (extreme caution required).

Resolution: Replace any leaking hoses, O-rings, or components. If the leak sensor is corroded or stuck, replace it. Do not operate the machine until all leaks are repaired.
