Possible Causes
Unstable household voltage, Loose power cord connection inside unit, Failing internal power supply circuit, Overcurrent protection tripped on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before any inspection. Do not operate a unit that smells like burning or shows scorch marks.
- Check outlet: Plug the coffee maker into a different, properly grounded outlet without an extension cord or power strip. Avoid GFCI outlets that may be tripping.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks on the cord. If damaged, discontinue use until the cord is replaced.
- Internal inspection (advanced): With the bottom cover removed, inspect the power entry point and wiring for loose connections or discoloration. Tighten any loose spade connectors.
- Board replacement: If E7 recurs on a known-good outlet and wiring is intact, the internal power supply section of the control board may be failing and the board should be replaced.
