Ground coffee appears in the carafe (sediment) more than usual.

Safety first: Allow coffee to cool slightly before handling the carafe.

• Use correct filter: Ensure you are using the recommended filter size and type for your Farberware model.
• Inspect permanent filter: If using a reusable filter, check for tears or holes in the mesh. Replace if damaged.
• Do not overfill: Keep coffee grounds below the maximum fill line in the basket.
• Seat filter properly: Make sure the filter is fully opened and pressed against the basket walls with no folds that allow grounds to bypass.
