Display shows “Error 22”; machine may not detect the bean container lid or may refuse to grind.

Safety first: Unplug the machine before internal inspection.

Step 1 – Check lid and magnet:

• Inspect the bean container lid for the presence of a magnet or actuator tab.
• If missing or broken, replace the lid.

Step 2 – Ensure proper closure:

• Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
• Check that nothing (beans, foreign objects) is preventing full closure.

Step 3 – Sensor inspection (advanced):

• Remove the housing (unplug first).
• Locate the lid microswitch or Hall sensor near the bean container.
• Check for loose wiring or misalignment.
• Test the switch with a multimeter while actuating it.

Step 4 – Replace faulty parts:

• Replace the lid sensor or microswitch if defective.
• Replace the bean container lid if its magnet or actuator is damaged.
